When Kate Moss launched her collection for
Topshop back in April this year, I couldn't believe my luck. It was right up my
street, and included some beautiful pieces reminiscent of Stevie Nicks,
Woodstock and 1970s romantic summer of love. Sadly, I watched it launch,
marveled at it and slowly watched pieces sell out. When I found that fringe
jacket, in the sale with a considerable reduction I couldn't believe what day
it was.
The entire collection had a clear reference to Kate's personal
sartorial style, with the fringe jacket taking homage from the Saint
Laurent tan leather fringed design, which she wore to the opening of a
David Bailey exhibition in 2013.
So, it's a size 12, as that was all that
was on offer but I genuinely love the oversized fit it has on me. Its bagginess
offers itself to be worn nicely layered over short dresses and skirts. I always
love it when a dress/skirt and jacket finish in the same place.
