Cowgirl Noir.

I've been enjoying my fish tail plait since last night, with thanks to The Braid Bar at Missguided's SS15 preview evening. After a night of being slept on it's become rather rugged, but that's exactly how I like it. If I manage to do a decent fish tail in my hair, I will always mess it up for a more bed head style.

Anyway moving on, as you can see I am dressed as a rather sultry cowgirl. Its midnight in the desert. With Bali looming on mine and Gemma Talbot's horizon, beach wear is pretty much all I can think about. I am very much after a western vibe but with a premium edge. I love this dress from Staring at Stars, its sexy and super feminine and can be worn many different ways. I am excited to throw it over a bikini for those warm Bali evenings. Until then, I plan to wear it with some high waist ripped jeans. It's sheer, but with heavy embroidery so triangle style bra worn underneath will be perfect.

My hat is my new prised possession and it's made from 100% leather. I can't stress enough, once you have found the perfect hat you will feel a sense of wholeness. That's if your into hats? No floppy business here. This one by Liquorish comes in a worn and weathered leather, with a plaited trim. It has an insanely low price point too so wont break the bank.

Pajama Play.

New year, new clothes. I don't know about you, but I feel a new season coming on and I am eager, ready and waiting. I know it's only January, but I am picking up on a bohemian, 'summer of love' scent. Indeed its distant, but I know its there. I am ready to embrace loosely done-up shirts, worn in a very playful manner. Here, shown I above, I am wearing Topshop's new 'pyjama' style shirt. With a retro daisy and paisley print, stiff collar and cuffs combo it reminds me of Mui-Mui's past seasons. I am not usually one for prints, but I just fell in love with this instantly. A cute nod to the 70s, this shirt with it's white stitching, is my daydream. I want to lay about wearing it all day, stroking my cat and talking on a vintage bakelite phone. But in real life on the other hand, I am looking forward to toughening up this girly shirt and wearing it right into Spring Summer 15. My instinct is to tuck into the front of blue denim, loosely buttoned up with some thin, simple necklaces.

Back to School.

Sorry, its those jeans again. But I would be happy enough with a wardrobe of these jeans on repeat, disposable almost? All hung up and ready to wear, like the wardrobe of a cartoon character with a never changing outfit.

Anyway, what is life? What is life without a REAL leather, sleeveless biker jacket? I honestly couldn't tell you, other then guess it would be boring and unimaginable. Good, leather products are investments, and for me, come in the form of my all time favorite pieces. The sleeveless jacket, no matter what fabric, are WINNERS because they lend themselves so nicely to the gift of layering and act as very multifunctional items. Find one made from leather, and taa-dar! You have a yourself a timeless classic. A traditional, decent leather jacket is smoking hot, and an absolute must-have in anybodies wardrobe, but at times can add bulk - especially if your narrow shouldered. Gilets and sleeveless jackets are flattering, as have an elongating effect. They can make any summer dress a knockout and be that tough finish any longer sleeve top. If your a biker babe at heart, then this is the item for you.

It's always been a soul quest of mine, to own well made items that I know will be ageless and live alongside me forever. What would your soul quest be when it comes to hunting down clothes?

My Longline Tux.

A Tux usually has a silky lapel, unlike standard suit jackets that instead tends to be made from the same fabric throughout - thus giving the Tux a little more magic. Perfectly transitional, a Tuxedo jacket is a beauty of a wardrobe piece. Softly smart over a t-shirt during the day, to a snug fit over any thing you want for any night time mischief. This Topshop unusual 'longline' version worn above is all you need to become a laid back city slicker. It's unbelievably flattering. Its softly tailored and elongated shape gives a very slimming, streamlined effect. Here I have kept it pretty minimal, as I am so in love with the cut, the silhouette really is all I need for the focus point of this look. This is a pretty reliable, ready to wear item of clothing, so I'd say tweak this look to make more it individual to you, with your accessories. This is where you can really make this look your own. I have added a hat and belt just inject some of my own personality and I have found they help tone down the overall smartness of this outfit.
