Concho Poncho.
It was SO COLD, this was the weekend just gone when it felt like London had frozen over. The cold stunned us, and found it hard to come outside to take some photos, it wasn't long until we were back indoors again, under blankets and drinking tea.
I knew that when I found this poncho at Peekaboo, that I had to stop it from leaving, and put it to the side - for me, of course. It's such a special piece, I couldn't let it go. A classic native American Navajo style, it would fit in my wardrobe perfectly and truly be one of a kind. I love the idea of layering up with roll neck jumpers, and wrapping around extra long scarves - like above, for the winter months and then worn over floating maxi dresses in the summer. It's made from that lovely weighty suede, that when worn, you can feel its heaviness. Metal conchos, rich and rusty in colour, its a true beauty. A must have for any urban cowgirls out there!
I have tried out ASOS denim for the first time, I've always been very loyal to Topshop and their jean styles but have been so frustrated over the last year, waiting for them to do the perfect jet black flares that I had gave up and choose a pair from ASOS. I was surprised to see they actually have such a good range of flares, from bells to baby kick and then in most colours. They fit beautifully with slight stretch, I think I'll be going back for more at some point. Click images below for direct shopping links for the jeans and the funnel neck but unfortunalty I couldn't find a similar concho to show you at this time.
