LA | Cowgirl Blues.

Who on earth, doesn't want a necktie that's got your initials hand beaded onto it? It sure cheers up everything I put it with and makes me feel all fancy. I love the idea of being able to make something you wear, personal to you so that it almost becomes your uniform. Abbie Walsh Accessories have really done something beautiful. Their up coming range of neck ties and neckerchiefs are made to order and hand beaded with your initials and motifs. I got mine right before heading to LA, so I got lucky with a little beaded cactus as well - perfect for our little Desert adventure. My tattooist sister Heather is also behind this new range, collaborating with Abbie by designing classic tattoo designs that are then hand beaded on. Contact Abbie Walsh here for any orders you would like to make.

In Harmony.

So it's Spring, and its not entirely the warm out there in London town. When your in need of a simple easy outfit, but still want to stay in a bohemian realm then I look no further then flares under a loose knitted jumper. Better yet, bell bottom jeans and bell sleeves. I'll do my usual wavy hair, and some alluring accessories to liven things up.

When sticking to simple cuts and a neutral colour palette, it's easy to bring in the eye catching details. I love the lace - up detail on my PLT jumper dress as it brings back that romantic and beautiful feel that can be non existent when it comes to jumpers and knitwear. A good friend brought back this white suede choker, and told me she found it in the Harajuku distract of Shibuya, Tokyo. I love so much that it's white and the little blue stones are perfect for that small pop of colour. I went for a little rummage around in Rokit's Covent Garden store yesterday and I found these round sunglasses  just by the till. I know they are ideal for brightening up cloudy outfits. Their mirror like lens' change from rose gold, to a bottle green so perfect for adding another layer to a flat aesthetic. Adding these little perks to a blank canvas will always bring a new lease of life to your everyday.

LA | Badlands.

Ain't this skirt a beauty? I'm not usually one for short skirts as I don't find them particularly flattering on me but I do love me a premium leather mini. I WILL make exceptions when I come across an extraordinary types. I have this one with buckles and zips (see here) that go after the biker vibes that I love, whereas this one is full on fringing on a cowgirl. A carefree one at that. There wasn't a better feeling then kicking up dust in Yucca Valley in this studded and fringed dream skirt. Just adding the staple black bandanna just so I could complete my desert bandit look haha. Anyway, Peekaboo Vintage have the best range of premium leather in the basement at Topshop, Oxford Circus - trust me, I've seen it all first hand being sent off there. Go check it out for yourselves...

LA | Death Valley.

So somewhere in the midst of our trip we found ourselves stuck out in the desert. It was great, don't get my wrong but we were stranded. Out in Yucca Valley we stayed in a really cute cabin - thank god it was cute because the whole situation felt very Hills Have Eyes. There wasn't much to do, as we didn't have a car and was so far out from everything so we kinda just used the cabin as a chill spot. A place to recoup, listen to records, smoke cigarettes, and catch up on some work with a whole load of coffee. It was a much needed rest after a few weeks of LA life. Of course, once we shared our last cigarette and run out of all supplies things got pretty weird and we got the hell outta there. Lesson number 34 - Don't come out here without a car, people look at you funny.

One lovely thing about our slightly creepy 'rehabilitation' getaway to the desert, was that I adored hanging around in this snake print romper. Perfect for our dusty cinematic location! Long sleeves, deep v neck line, elasticated waist and frilly shorts - there isn't much else I would want from a playsuit?! Man I just love California, my clothes and style just feel 100/% at home. It's very hard at times in London, to actually be fully myself. Thank you so much Pylo for taking care of us out here!
